Before: A Greenhouse in Ruins

The original greenhouse, once a cornerstone of our community gardening efforts, was devastated by structural damage, leaving it unusable. Severe weather conditions and lack of maintenance led to its collapse, and for a time, it stood as a reminder of how quickly the natural environment can reclaim man-made structures. With broken panels and an unstable frame, it was no longer able to support the plants, workshops, and gardening programs that had once thrived inside.

After: A Hub of Sustainable Growth

Today, the Lambert Community Greenhouse has been fully restored, becoming a beacon of sustainable gardening and community education. Thanks to the support of local volunteers and donations, the greenhouse now stands stronger than ever. It’s a space where community members learn essential gardening techniques, from seed propagation to caring for plants year-round in a controlled environment. Inside, rows of healthy plants flourish, providing a practical example of how sustainable practices can rejuvenate a space and produce fresh food for the community.
